THIS IS A RARE AND SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY TO
LEARN THE ART OF COPPICED YURT BUILDING.
THE INSTRUCTOR IS TOBIAS FAIRLOVE WHO IS ONE
OF THE UK,S LEADING YURT BUILDERS AND HIS
FAMILY BUSINESS IS ONE OF THE ONLY YURT
BUILDERS USING SOLELY SUSTAINABLE COPPICED
PRODUCTS.

THE FIRST WEEKEND will run through the
processes needed to; coppice, prepare and
bend the trellis poles and roof poles, how
to make the coppiced door frame, how to knot
up the trellises and how to prepare the
blanks for the wheel rim.
THE SECOND WEEKEND would entail the making
of THE wheel and the setting up
of THE yurt
THE COURSE WILL BE HELD IN THE SECLUSION
OF WRONGS COVERT. VEGETARIAN FOOD WILL BE
AVAILABLE THOUGH WE ARE NOT ABLE TO CATER
FOR SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS. CAMPING
AVAILABLE.

£400 IN TOTAL. COVERS FULL 6 DAY COURSE.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:
TOOLS: Draw-knife, tape measure, note book,
pencil, pruning saw, spoke shave, sharp axe,
sharpening stone.
WARM CLOTHES, WEATHERPROOF GEAR, GOOD STRONG
FOOTWEAR AND GOOD HUMOUR!
CAMPING: IF YOU ARE CAMPING PLEASE BE AWARE
THAT IT WILL BE WINTER SO APPROPRIATE
EQUIPMENT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR YOUR OWN
COMFORT. ALSO PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WE
ARE IN WOODLAND AND CONSEQUENTLY ONLY BASIC
FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE (E.G. COMPOST
TOILETS AND RAINWATER FOR PERSONAL
WASHING) SHOULD THIS NOT BE SUITABLE, HOTEL
OR B&B ACCOMMODATION ARE AVAILABLE LOCALLY.
