Project Garden at Wrongs
May 2019
In February this year (2019) we received the means to establish a fully fledged and productive vegetable garden with the amazing help of GREENER GROWTH a community interest company which supports the education and development of horticulture and sustainable environs for schools, institutions and industry.
Previously for many years the space had been a simple forest garden, which produced herbs and vegetable though not on a grand scale. After two seasons of neglect through circumstances beyond control, it grew into a tangled jungle of brambles and nettles.
Greener growth stepped in to sort it out!
We now have raised beds which are far more accessible and will certainly be more productive and easier to manage in the future. We have retained a lot of the wild garden around the edges to provide for the mini beasts and other pollinators, and the foxgloves and wild comfrey still grow in abundance.
A perfect balance of need and nurture!
